Communications Unit

The Communications Unit will provide support to the Public Sector Reform Unit (PSRU), by ensuring that the existing Reform Programmes are implemented in a timely, efficient and effective manner. The Unit will also perform duties within their assigned technical functions as assigned by the Director.

The Communications Unit will also provide support towards the development and implementation of the PSRU Communications strategy and outreach activities in relation to the Public Sector Reform Initiatives.

Siaka Wusha-Conteh (Head of Communications)

Mr. Siaka Wusha-Conteh was appointed Head of Communications in the Public Sector Reform Unit in 2024. He has over thirty years work experience as a Communication Specialist especially in crafting and implementing effective communication strategies. He has a proven track-record in enhancing organizational messaging and fostering positive stakeholder relations in the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) he has worked. He has also worked with the United Nations Integrated Office in Sierra Leone (UNIOSIL) whose mandate was to consolidate and maintain sustainable peace and stability in Sierra Leone. Part of his responsibilities were to provide daily update to the UN Secretary General’s Office on the security and governance situation in Sierra Leone.  

Mr. Wusha-Conteh has also worked as a Communication Specialist in the Public Sector Reform Unit (PSRU), with critical tasks to increase public awareness on the various reforms within the public sector. He also has extensive knowledge and expertise in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) specifically in policy and networking. Mr Siaka Wusha-Conteh has a double Masters degree in Mass Communication and Peace and Development Studies from Fourah Bay College and Njala University respectively.

He also has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication from Fourah Bay College.
