PSRU Ends Retreat on the Development and Validation of Three MFRs

The Public Sector Reform Unit which continues to play a critical role in supporting the implementation of the National Agenda of the Government of sierra Leone on Wednesday, 20th September, 2023, ended a three-days retreat on the development and validation of three Management and Functional Reviews for three critical MDAs- Ministries of Information and Civil Education, Communications, Technology and Innovations and the National Disaster Management Agency, at the Fabulous Resort, York Village, Western Rural, Freetown.

In his closing courtesies, the Head of Programmes at the Public Sector Reform Unit, Mr Sulaiman Phoray-Musa commended staff for their tireless efforts in supporting government to achieve its over arching objectives and encouraged them to be steadfast and focused in the discharge of their duties.

He disclosed that the retreat was to critically worked on the three documents rigorously in order to re-position and re-aligned the said MDAs for effective and efficient service delivery to the people of this country.

Explaining about the processes involved in the conduct of the three Management and Functional Reviews, the Head of Programmes said, the Premanent Secretaries and Director General of those three MDAs engaged PSRU through formal correspondences requesting for the conduct of a Management and Fun ctional Review (MFR).

Upon receipt of the requests, Mr Phoray-Musa said, the PSRU responded officially and requested for an inception meeting which was successful held.

According to the Head of Programmes, the methodology of the review process involved interviews, administering of questionnairs to both senior and junior level staff, stakeholders’ engagements, focus group discussions and desk reviews.
