Lamin Tarawally is an economist with over twelve (12) years working experience in Public Sector Management and Policy Development, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation. He holds a Bachelor (BSc) and a Master’s (MA) degrees in Economics from the University of Sierra Leone (USL) and University of Toledo, USA respectively. At the initial stage of his career, he served as a Programme Officer (2005-2007) at the Development Assistant Coordination Office (DACO) with the overall objective of tracking donor inflows to Sierra Leone. He also served as a Programme Officer at the Public Sector Reform Unit (PSRU), Office of the President (2014-2023) with the responsibility of driving the reform initiatives across the Public Sector landscape. Currently, he is the Head of Policy, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation at PSRU, charged with the responsibility of leading and managing the policy, research, monitoring and evaluation activities within the public sector landscape. This includes developing and implementing policies, conducting research and analysis to inform policy decisions, overseeing monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess program effectiveness and providing strategic advice to the leadership of PSRU. He also perform duties within the technical function as assigned. In a nutshell, He provide technical support and specialist advice on Policy, Research, M&E across all functions and activities of the Unit and the wider Public Sector.
