Main Responsibilities

Identify new investment opportunities and strategies by which domestic trade and industry can be enhanced
Formulate and implement work programs on trade and industrial development
Coordinate the implementation of the Consumer Protection and Competition Laws
Develop action plans in consultation with other stakeholders for the development of key industrial sectors
Facilitate the implementation of the Private Sector Development Strategy
Coordinate the implementation of the SME Policy
Design Training programs to building capacity of Trade Monitors
Enhance Capacity Building for Growth Centres
Conduct annual national survey of the Manufacturing Sector.
