Main Responsibilities

Responsible for the formulation and implementation of policies and strategies on Foreign Trade
Develop and coordinate the implementation of external trade policies and strategies that consolidates and ensure expansion of export markets for Sierra Leone?s products
Coordinate Sierra Leone?s participation in bilateral, regional and multilateral trade negotiations (ECOWAS, EPA, AGOA etc)
Liaise with SLIEPA and Standards Bureau to promote the competitiveness of Sierra Leone?s goods and services in the internal markets
Coordinate with the national coordinating Committee on Trade in developing external trade policies and negotiating positions
Generate and supply trade information on international market opportunities
Design Training programs to building capacity of Trade Monitors
Enhance Capacity Building for Growth Centres
Conduct annual national survey of the Manufacturing Sector
